Midwest Mountaineering are set to host the 23rd Winter Outdoor Adventure Expo in November, the event hosts 75 free presentations and 60 exhibitors. The peak of the speakers is Dr. John Francis. His talk called ‘Redefining Environment’ is to discuss how the current environmental crisis is a reflection of world wide social and economic crisis.

In 2009 a movie called Planetwalker will be released about Francis’s 22 years of walking and 17 year of when he made a vow of silence to protest about environmental issues.

Also speaking will be K2 climbers Mike Farris and Dave Watson, and Lonnie Dupre, John Huston and Tyler Fish who have been on Polar travels. Stephen Regenold will releveal the top ten gear of year.
