Channel 5’s the Gadget Show have compiled a list of the Top 5 Festival Gadgets. The festival season is in full swing with the double header of Leeds and Reading round the corner. As we know the camping industry is in a boost at the moment and it’s partly down to neat gadgets.

Number 5 - Gelert Solar Shower - £4.00

We’ve mentioned about these before on the site, this £4 version can store 20 litres of water in its black reservoir which heats up thanks to the sunshine.

Number 4 - Waterproof iPod Speakers - £59.95

It’s more than likely to rain at a festival and if you want to listen to some music in-between bands then these £60 speakers are ideal if not a little expensive.

Number 3 - BioToi Portable Toilet - £31

Yes the toilets are going to stink, if your not up for it then the BioToi could help you. All foldable and biodegradable it’s eco friendly too.

Number 2 - Infrared Perimeter Protector Alarm - £13.99

I’m not sure about this one, a perimeter alarm doesn’t sound necessary at a festival. There is little crime at the UK festivals but if some reason you’ve taken your laptop, ipod and flat screen TV it might be a good way of keeping scallies away. The only problem, the tents are so close together at festivals you neighbour might set it off, with a 100 decibels alarm your tent’s not going to be popular.

Number 1 - Gelert Quick Pitch SS tent - £21.95

No surprise, the Quick Pitch SS tent from Gelert is at number 1. When going to a festival your going to have to take as much beer as possible. Prices inside the festival are around £3 a pint, so you don’t want to lug around a big tent which is why the  Gelert Quick Pitch is great as its light and can  be carried on the bag of your rucksack.
