I wrote yesterday about Go Outdoors’ March Mega Deals. One of the products that’s been reduced warrants a post all of its own. The spork.

The spork is one of mankind’s greatest developments. It’s what separates us from the animals.

Is it a spoon? Yes.

Is it a fork? Yes.

These ones from Go Outdoors are also knives. Well, just about - there’s a bit which could technically pass as a knife on the grounds that the sides of forks aren’t usually serrated. I don’t know whether it could actually cut anything though.

In truth, these from Go Outdoors aren’t classic sporks, which are normally a sort of pronged spoon. These sporks are double-ended, which is cheating. Their heart’s in the right place though. You can save a whopping 21p if you buy them in the sale.
