We’ve blogged about luxury camping before on which campsite and it’s a topic I’m sure will be visited often. In the past we’ve looked at the actual tents, tipis and equipment but today we’ll look at the campsites with luxury features and facilities.

Alton Village Holiday Cottages in Staffordshire have hot tubs, yes hot tubs outside of the cottage you are staying in. It costs a little extra to rent but the added feature of being able to hot tub all night long means bookings have been good.

Sky and Sky Sports HD, some static pitches at campsites are now installing Sky in the lodges with giant 42 inch tv screens. It cost a fair wack and you can’t just pay for when you stay at the caravan but it’s a great attraction for groups of people looking to rent for a extended weekend or a week.

Power Showers, gone are the old cold showers at campsites where you had to get up at 7 in the morning just get get a tad of hot water. Some campsites in the UK now have power showers at the campsites to keep campers clean.

On site pub, nuff said a pub on site is a great luxury to have.

Garden features, campsites are now spending money and time on such features as gardens, hedge mazes and one campsite even has a koi pond. So next time you think that camping is a going rough, think again some campsites are posher than staying at home!
