A big problem for festival goers is leaving valuables in your tent, car keys, ipods and camera’s are just some of the many items taken to festivals around the world. Although most festivals have a certain mood between campers theft at festivals does happen. Valuables are either taken from empty tents or from back packs during the gigs.

May festivals offer safes where valuables can be locked up for the weekend, but there are not enough sages for all festival goers. At Glastonbury festival property lock-ups are open 24 hours a day, and are free of charge to use.
A survey jointly undertaken by YouGov and swiftcover.co.uk found that 37 per cent of people have been the victim of theft at the Benicassim Festival in Spain, so here are the top 5 tips for keeping your goodies safe at a festival.
- Only take what you need, ipod’s, laptops etc are not needed.
- If going by car take two sets of keys for the car, then split them up between two people.
- Take a bum bag, this can be placed under your jumper / coat away from pick pockets.
- Padlocks on tents / back packs.
- Rather than a digital camera take disposable camera’s, then can be really fun!
