I’ve just purchased a Gelert Core 55+10L Rucksack for the great price of £32 from Go Gamping. It’s a great price for a middle of the range back pack and is ideal for the average trip.

The bag has all the expected features stomach strap, adjustable padded on you back and straps for ice picks / poles / sleeping bag. It’s a great example of an affordable back pack.
You can go over the top with pack packs paying over £150, the difference in price is not down to the features but normally down to quality and that means how long it’s going to last. A £32 bag won’t last as long as one costing £180 but at least it won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
