So I’ve already done a post about Geocaching, but know I’m going to go through what equipment is needed for Geocaching.
GPSr
So the GPSr (Global Positioning Satellite Receiver) is used to figure out where you are positioned. You punch the starting positions and then other points on the route. The GPSr will keep track of your current position and update as you walk along. GPSr will also show you the way to walk, but some geocachers will also take a traditional compass. A good GPSr will be waterproof and include maps overlays.
Prices will range from anthing from £100 to £250. As ever the more you pay the more quality you get.
Bag
With any walking you need a good rucksack. Pack accordingly to the recomendations from the geocaching description. It will give a estimated completion time so you can work out how long you’ll be walking for.
Stash
Not that type of stash, but the item you’ll leave in the geocache. This needs to be small, some prefere to leave the same item, a badge, a note etc where some like to change it each time.
It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
