The Ministry of Civil Affairs has arranged for 5,000 tents to be sent to the southeastern province of Fujian after the area was effected by the Fung Wong Typhoon.

On Monday, the typhoon hit land and forced the evacuation of just under half a million people. Fung Wong is the eighth storm of the year, and caused the destruction or 110 houses.

Flights from the area have been cancelled but more worrying is the 450,000 people reporting loses. As we know after natural disaters, there are three essentails, Shelter, Water and Food, it’s good to see the Chinesse government stepping in with the 5000 tents.
